To pursue the industrial development rapidly, chemical dyestuffs are widely applied for the dyeing process in fabrics. People would likely be damaged by contacting fabrics with chemical dyestuffs, so it is necessary to consider both the health and the public and safety to the environment. Nowadays the chemical dyestuffs account for 70-80% of application. Touching with chemical dyestuffs may cause the cancer and are hazard to people's health. Therefore, it is very important to develop non-toxic and safe dyestuffs from the nature. According to our finding, we would suggest that natural dyes/natural pigments are the best solution for our consumers and environment. Dyestuffs or Pigments come from the nature, including plants, insects, and minerals.
Plant dyeing is the major source of natural dyeing. The plant dyestuffs may come from the roots, stem, leafs, flowers, and fruits. With the aids of mordant such as aluminum, the plant dyeing can give different colors and tones. The natural dyes are more aesthetic, unique hues speaking of aesthetics. The natural colors not only deliver the symbol of beauty, but they also call attention to the hearing of eco-friendly. The natural combination harmony makes for a high value for the consumers. Natural colors always provide contrasting shades, and ranges of hues are impossible to achieve with artificial colorings.
Natural pigment printing does not need steaming & washing which are required by the traditional dyestuffs printing. It can save energy (0.19kwh) & water (20 liters) per meter comparing with auto screen printing. Due to natural pigments coming from the plant, the production process is less waste & pollution than traditional one. Comparing with traditional screen printing, the fabrics possess more natural hand feel & elegant plant tone, and good color fastness & rubbing.
Since October 2012, Be Be Cotton has accomplished the integration of vertical production process with a brand new dyeing facility to get a natural dyed fabric with:
